About Morrison Music
Morrison Music started out just before the 2020 Pandemic as an online only reed and private lesson company. In May 2022, we opened a brick and mortar store with another music store in Jefferson City and expanded into instrument repair and rentals. In February 2023, Morrison Music moved out of Jefferson City and into Columbia. Since the move, we have expanded our services again to include string instrument repair, sales, and rentals. We are excited to continue to provide Mid-Missouri with high quality string and band instruments, accessories, repairs, and lessons. Hope to see you at the shop!
Dereck Morrison
Dereck graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in Saxophone performance. He then went to graduate school at the University of Central Arkansas for a masters in Saxophone Performance with an emphasis in Jazz. He does brass and woodwind repairs as well as teach woodwind lessons.Amanda Morrison
Amanda graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in Instrumental Music Education with an emphasis in Strings. Amanda's primary instrument is the violin. She currently is an orchestra teacher in Jefferson City, MO. Amanda specializes in string instrument repair.
Kristi Larsen
Kristi has a Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance from Illinois State University and Masters of Music in Piano Performance, Pedagogy and Literature from the University of Kansas. For the past 15 years she has worked as an instrument repair technician at Jerry’s Instrument Shop. Clarinet repair is her specialty. Kristi has an active piano studio and collaborates frequently with other musicians in the area. Kristi also serves as pianist and youth ensemble co-director at Broadway Christian Church in Columbia, MO.
